Song, a dual-concentration student in public health and international and public affairs, was remembered by friends and classmates as a bright, thoughtful, and talented individual. Beyond her academic accomplishments, she was an accomplished violinist, hospital volunteer, and active member of organizations including the Brown Healthcare Investment Group and the Korean American Students Association. Song had also earned recognition as an AP Scholar and National Merit Scholar.
Providence police confirmed that no suspicious circumstances were involved in the incident.
