UNIONTOWN, PA — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Tuesday evening on Dunlap Street in Uniontown, where 20‑year‑old Lemaur Thompson Jr. was killed. The Fayette County Coroner has ruled the incident a homicide, and multiple agencies are now involved in the case.
According to state and local law enforcement, the shooting prompted a large police response in the area. Investigators have identified Braedon Dickinson, 18, as a person of interest. A BOLO (Be On the Lookout) has been issued for Dickinson, who has been described by the District Attorney as armed and dangerous. Police are urging the public not to approach him and to contact law enforcement immediately if he is seen.
Detectives from the Pennsylvania State Police–Uniontown, the Uniontown Police Department, the Fayette County District Attorney’s Office, and Crime Stoppers are actively working the case. Investigators continue to collect evidence, interview potential witnesses, and review leads to determine what led up to the shooting. No motive has been released at this time.
