With heavy hearts, the community mourns the tragic loss of Robyn Landauer, 19, from The Woodlands area, who died Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 59/I-69 in Cleveland, Texas.
According to the Cleveland Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 1:25 p.m. in the southbound lanes. Landauer was driving a blue 2008 Honda Civic when her vehicle veered into the center concrete divider, bounced back into traffic, and lost control, rolling multiple times before coming to rest on its roof.
Emergency personnel found Landauer struggling to breathe and suffering from a severe head injury. Officers performed CPR at the scene until Allegiance EMS arrived, transporting her to HCA Houston Healthcare – Kingwood, where she was pronounced dead.
The crash caused temporary diversion of all southbound traffic onto the feeder road near the Texas 105 West Conroe exit, prompting significant delays. Authorities noted a second crash occurred during the investigation when a 2022 Chevrolet Blazer collided with a parked Cleveland Fire Department truck assisting with traffic control. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in that incident, which is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Robyn Landauer’s family, friends, and community are grappling with the sudden loss of a young life filled with potential. Loved ones remember her for her presence, personality, and the moments she shared with those closest to her. The community extends its condolences and support to her family during this incredibly difficult time.
