AUGUSTA, GA — A tense standoff in the early hours of Thursday morning ended without violence when Joshua Ledane Anderson, a wanted man facing multiple warrants, surrendered to deputies after barricading himself inside an apartment.
The incident began when members of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team responded to the scene following reports that Anderson had locked himself inside and refused to come out. Negotiators worked to de‑escalate the situation, while tactical units prepared for a possible forced entry.
