Victor Blount and Jeramie Blount Obituary News: Two Siblings Victor Blount and Jeramie Blount Killed in Shooting After Domestic Conflict in North St. Louis
Two siblings were fatally shot on Wednesday following a violent confrontation in northern St. Louis City, as reported by law enforcement.
The event took place just before noon on Wednesday, January 14, 2025, in the 1000 block of Hamilton Avenue close to Maple Street.
Authorities from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department arrived in response to reports of gunfire and discovered a man in his thirties inside an apartment with a gunshot injury.
He was declared dead at the location.
When additional law enforcement personnel arrived, they found a second victim—a man in his forties—lying in a nearby field with a gunshot wound.
He was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later.
The deceased have been named as Victor Blount, aged 35, and Jeramie Blount, aged 40, siblings residing within St. Louis City.
Homicide investigators concluded from initial findings that the gunfire resulted from a familial disagreement occurring inside the apartment.
Detectives suspect that the older sibling shot the younger sibling during their altercation.
A woman in her forties, who was also present in the apartment during the incident, subsequently fired at the older sibling.
The woman has been detained and is currently aiding the investigation.
Authorities indicated that there are no other suspects being pursued at this moment.
