Shannyn was born and grew up in Iron Mountain, Michigan, and her life revolved around her passion for assisting others, her affection for holistic health, and the strong bonds she nurtured with her friends, family, and wider community.

Shannyn excelled in communication, motivating thousands of listeners as a personality on Family Life Radio since 2010 in Tucson, Arizona. Her enthusiasm for leading others towards physical and spiritual wellness was also showcased during her previous stint as a radio host with Greater Media Detroit between 2000 and 2006, based in Ferndale, Michigan.

Apart from her radio career, Shannyn’s commitment to wellness prompted her to pursue studies in naturopathic medicine at the Genesis School of Natural Health, achieving her qualification as a Traditional Naturopathic Doctor in 2019. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wright State University, graduating in 1992, which mirrored her creative and artistic nature.

As the founder and managing director of Healing Season, Shannyn designed prayerful and personalized programs that integrated holistic wellness methods with spiritual insight, positively impacting lives in significant and enduring ways. She affectionately referred to me as Pastor Princess and introduced me to Taco Tuesday. Shannyn’s legacy lives on through her daughter, Alex Biedenbach; her aunts Lynn Cook and Terry Newcomb Masty; her niece Taylor Caldwell; and her cousins Ben Cook, Denise Johnson, and Marissa Parker. She also leaves numerous friends, colleagues, and students whose lives have been enriched by her guidance, mentorship, and love.
