Seneca News – Dustin E. Wilkes Dies in Friday Afternoon Crash, Tributes Pour In From Family and Friends

 We recall and celebrate the life of Seneca, 31-year-old Dustin E. Wilkes with great sorrow and heavy hearts. His life was tragically cut short in a Friday afternoon car accident. Dustin's death at age 25 has left his friends, family, and the whole community grieving a life cut short far too soon.

The terrible collision happened on Sitton Mill Road close to the junction of Sitton Shoals Road, only a few minutes from Dustin's house—a terrible fact that makes the sorrow of this loss even more painful. What started off as a typical Friday afternoon turned into a terrible event that would define the life of those who loved him forever.

The rollover accident included only Dustin in the car. Though EMS and firefighters responded quickly and gave advanced life support at the scene, he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at 5:30 p.m. Later, the coroner verified Dustin's death as an accident caused by head and chest injuries.
