 Authorities have announced that Kylea Sterner, a mother aged 33 who had been missing since late December, has been discovered deceased. Her family released a statement expressing their sorrow over her passing and requested privacy while they grieve.

The last communication received from Sterner was on December 30, 2025, with her last sighting occurring days prior. Her absence raised alarms among her family, friends, and members of the community, who assisted in disseminating information and searching for her. Officials from law enforcement have stated that the investigation is ongoing, and they are not disclosing any further information at this moment.

In the family’s statement, they recognized her enduring battle with depression and expressed gratitude for the extensive support received during the search. The family articulated, “We wish to express our appreciation to everyone who helped spread awareness, reached out, conducted searches, and shared information. The kindness and efforts from numerous individuals meant a tremendous amount to us. Due to the ongoing investigation, we cannot disclose any more details. We are in mourning and request privacy as we navigate through this sorrow.”

At home, we called her pizza girl because we frequently ordered pizza from her at the Rail, and she occasionally live-streamed my band’s performances on TikTok when we played there. She was always friendly and polite and was taken from us far too soon.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of Kylea. She has been found, and she has passed away.

We are grateful to all who provided information, reached out, participated in searches, and helped spread awareness. The assistance and care from so many were incredibly meaningful to our family.
