Glenn Keesee Cape Girardeau, MO Motorcycle Incident: Loved Ones Grieve the Passing of 23-Year-Old Woman Who Loses Her Life in Tragic Collision
The communities of Cape Girardeau and Scott City are grieving the unfortunate death of Glenn Keesee, 23, who lost his life after a motorcycle accident on Thursday afternoon in the 1800 block of Broadway.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department reported that officers arrived at the accident scene approximately at 1:26 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, following alerts about an accident involving injuries between a motorcycle and a truck. The investigation revealed that Keesee was operating a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, traveling westward on Broadway in the inner lane, while a 2017 Ford F-350 utility vehicle was moving west in the outer lane.
Authorities indicated that Keesee made an effort to overtake another vehicle when the motorcycle tipped over onto its side. The motorcycle along with Keesee then skidded into the truck's side. At the moment of the incident, he was wearing a helmet.
He was rushed to Saint Francis Medical Center by ambulance, where he later died from his injuries.
Owen Todd, 25, from Chaffee, the truck's driver, did not sustain any injuries.
The unexpected loss of Glenn has devastated his family, friends, and close ones. He is fondly remembered as a young individual with a bright future, taken away too early in a sorrowful mishap.
