Florida individual randomly kills three tourists

According to law enforcement, a Florida resident known for previously targeting random individuals and cars is charged with the murder of three tourists after they became stuck at their vacation rental in a location frequented by patrons of the Walt Disney World Resort.

On Saturday, Osceola County Sheriff Christopher Blackmon announced during a press event that 29-year-old Ahmad Jihad Bojeh has been charged with the “cold-blooded” killings of the three men who were staying next to his house in Kissimmee.

Three stranded tourists were shot and killed in a brutal manner in the yard of a rental property in Kissimmee. Emergency responders received calls reporting gunfire at the rental property located on Indian Point Circle within the Indian Hills subdivision at approximately 12:13 p.m. on Saturday, as stated by Blackmon.

Deputies found the three deceased men suffering from gunshot wounds in the front yard of the home, as revealed in a Facebook post by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Two of the identified deceased were brothers: Robert Lewis Kraft, 70, from Holland, Michigan, and Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, from Columbus, Ohio. The third victim was identified as James John Puchan, 69, also from Columbus, Ohio, as reported by ClickOrlando.

Only an hour following the fatal shooting, law enforcement officers found Bojeh inside his residence next to the rental property where he was arrested and later charged with three counts of first-degree murder.

"It was calculated, it was deliberate, and there were definitely no disagreements. There was no discord among these individuals. This occurrence was entirely chance. And the individual involved happened to be the next-door neighbor," stated Blackmon.

After law enforcement carried out a search warrant at Bojeh’s residence, they found two guns. Investigators are trying to ascertain whether they were utilized in the murders of the two brothers and their companion.

The group of travelers found themselves stuck at the rental due to vehicle issues and had to prolong their visit on Saturday. Another person who had been with the group had already left a day prior, the sheriff noted.

It is currently unclear what the tourists were engaged in while in the vicinity or the duration of their stay at the rental.

Blackmon characterized Bojeh as a disturbed community member who often interacted with the sheriff's department.

In May 2021, Bojeh had been apprehended for allegedly discharging a weapon at a Wawa gas station and convenience store, randomly shooting at vehicles and wounding one man, who managed to survive.

Despite facing several charges, Bojeh was found 'not guilty by reason of insanity' when the trial took place the following year, as reported by WESH.

Bojeh’s criminal record mainly consists of minor, non-violent offenses and drug-related arrests in Osceola and Orange counties, with no evidence pointing to a motive for the triple homicide.
