Following a man found shot dead inside a vehicle near a local hotel on Wednesday morning, a homicide investigation is ongoing in Dothan, Alabama.
The victim was named as 33-year-old Wesley Blake Bowen, a Rehobeth High School graduate and Dothan resident, according to Coroner Robert Byrd.
Major Will Glover of the Dothan Police Department (DPD) said Bowen's body was found in a truck partially sunk in a tiny body of water right in front of the DoubleTree hotel along Ross Clark Circle. Investigators had to take the automobile from the water so they might keep examining the scene.

Officials have verified they are aggressively seeking a suspect related to the incident. Though police have not provided more information at this moment, a person of interest has been apprehended. As they investigate Bowen's death, DPD has also made available a potential image connected to the inquiry.
The cause of death has not yet been made public. For an autopsy, Bowen's remains have been transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences; the findings will be very important in the current investigation.
