Based on reports from the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, the accident happened around 7:00 p.m. on I-85 going south, just before Exit 48B/A in Greenville County. Officials stated that multiple 9-1-1 calls came in, reporting a pedestrian hit by a car in the road.
Officials found that Donnie Bisco Todd, a Union County resident, was standing in the road when a vehicle going south struck him. First responders came quickly and tried to save his life, but despite their attempts, paramedics declared Todd dead at the site at 7:11 p.m.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office and the Greenville City Police Department are working together to investigate the accident. Currently, officials have not provided details regarding the driver involved, and it remains uncertain if any charges will be brought.
