As per the Michigan State Police Lakeview Post, the deadly event took place at approximately 11:45 a.m. and involved a rollback flatbed truck. Officials reported that Daniel was assisting another worker in delivering a scrapped forklift when he became trapped between the truck's cab and the flatbed. The injuries he sustained were critical, and he was declared dead at the location.
