 According Michigan State Police, a Garrettsville, Ohio family is grieving the terrible death of 22-year-old Aaron Craver, who died Saturday night, January 17, in a high-speed snowmobile accident in Michigan.

After getting word of a major collision, state troopers arrived about 10:30 p.m. at a snowmobile trail along County Road H-58 in Alger County.Investigators found that Craver, a 22-year-old Portage County guy from Garrettsville, was driving a snowmobile when he was unable to securely negotiate a curve on the route.

Authorities claim the snowmobile left the trail and collided with a tree at a high speed.First responders swiftly showed up and gave emergency medical help, yet their attempts were futile.Craver died from his wounds.

In a statement released on Sunday, Michigan State Police Lt. Ben Eckola offered condolences.

Eckola remarked, "Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones impacted by this loss."

News of Craver's passing has profoundly affected his neighborhood and family in Garrettsville, where he was well-known and loved.Friends and loved ones have started publishing tributes remembering him as a young man whose life was cruelly cut short.

The crash is still under investigation; authorities have not made public any more information.State police reminded snowmobile riders to be careful, particularly at night and at high speeds as winter trail conditions can change quickly.

Garfield High School alumnus from 2021 was Aaron Craver.
