A death occurring near a school in Westminster led to a significant police presence and temporary lockdowns at two nearby educational institutions on Thursday night, as reported by the Westminster Police Department.
Officials stated that a body was found in an outdoor location behind a school adjacent to Willowbrook Park. Officers arrived just before darkness set in and immediately initiated an investigation into the suspicious death. The identity of the deceased has yet to be disclosed by authorities.
Schools Placed on Secure Status
To ensure safety, both Silver Hills Middle School and Mountain Range High School were placed under secure status on Thursday evening while law enforcement examined the vicinity. During this secure period, students and faculty remained indoors with all outside entrances locked.
