Robert Rowland Jr Car Accident: 39-Year-Old Robert Rowland Jr. Loses Life in Deadly Caroline County Collision

The Sheriff’s Office of Caroline County is looking into a deadly accident that took the life of 39-year-old Robert Rowland Jr. from Church Hill, Maryland.

Rowland Jr. was riding in the front passenger seat of a 2014 Ford Focus when the car went off the road early Sunday morning. Emergency services from Caroline County declared him dead at the scene.

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on December 7, deputies arrived after receiving reports of a collision near the intersection of Greensboro Road and Burrsville Road. An initial inquiry suggests that the Ford Focus, operated by 44-year-old Michael Steinberg of Dunkirk, Maryland, was heading south on Greensboro Road when it unexpectedly left the road, invaded a front yard, rolled over, and collided with several trees before stopping. Steinberg was taken to Bayhealth Hospital in Dover, Delaware, by Caroline County Emergency Medical Services due to serious injuries.

Greensboro Road was briefly shut down while the Maryland State Police Crash Team participated in the investigation. Officials state that the inquiry is still active and encourage anyone with additional details to reach the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office at 410-479-2515.
