One Individual Hurt in Hinesville, GA; Authorities Look into Shooting

 The Hinesville Police Department is looking into a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday on Memorial Drive close to the traffic circle, resulting in one individual suffering from injuries that could be life-threatening.

HPD Chief Tracey Howard reported that the person hurt was a passenger in a white car which collided at the traffic circle at the junction of Memorial Drive and Main Street. The victim has been taken to Liberty Regional Medical Center, where their condition is critical.

Authorities are currently questioning the vehicle's driver and have taken three people of interest into custody as part of the ongoing probe. Investigators have not disclosed more information regarding potential suspects or the circumstances that may have contributed to the shooting.

Chief Howard indicated that the event does not seem to be an act of violence without motive, and investigators are confident there is no continuing risk to the community.
