With great sadness, we offer our sincere condolences to Vincent "Vinny" Mayotte's family and friends; his death on December 5th, 2025, has left a sharp and terrible vacuum in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Obituary of Vincent Mayotte, Portland, OR

Our thoughts are with his family as they negotiate the emotional, logistical, and financial obstacles following the passing of someone so priceless during this trying period.

Vinny, born on December 27, 2008, started to infuse warmth and happiness into the planet right from the beginning. In sixteen short years alone, he impacted more people than most do in a lifetime. Those who knew him say he was a loving and mild soul—someone who loved greatly, listened intensely, and gave love freely. From family members who loved him to friends who valued his presence, everyone he encountered was impacted by his gentle power and compassionate attitude.

Vinny's life had purpose despite its shortness. He made people feel seen, cherished, and understood. His honesty made him a loved son and trusted buddy, while his laughter could lighten the most dismal times. He brought an irrefutable feeling of goodness and calm into every room he visited. His absence resounds in the places he once filled so easily, and words fail to adequately convey the extent of that loss.

Along with the emotional loss, his family has to bear the high expenses related with funeral and memorial plans as they try to commemorate him. When times are like these, community support is a source of strength and consolation. Any help—whether via prayers, gifts, or just recalling memories—will enable Vinny to be honored in the gorgeous and dignified manner he merits.

Though no homage can quite reflect the depth of Vinny's life or the grief left behind, we cling firmly to the conviction that love transcends loss. May his family find comfort in the innumerable joyful moments he infused their life, and may his memory always be blazing in the hearts of all those whose kind spirit touched them.
