Officials confirmed that Siles was walking north near 43rd Street when he was hit in the middle lane by a Tesla heading east.


Emergency responders from the Omaha Fire Department arrived promptly and took Siles to Nebraska Medical Center, where he was sadly declared deceased. Despite the swift action, there was nothing that could be done to save his life.

Following the accident, the Tesla drove away from the scene heading east but was subsequently found near 37th and Dodge Street. The driver has not been apprehended and remains unidentified.
