The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is looking into a shooting that took place on Thursday night in the Boca Park shopping center's parking lot, which resulted in one person being hurt and led to a brief barricade situation.
The event occurred in the 700 block of South Rampart Boulevard while officers were in the vicinity following up on a suspect who was wanted. According to LVMPD, the officers heard a nearby gunshot and promptly began to search the area.
Soon after, police found an individual with a gunshot injury. Medical staff were already present and offering care.
