La Horquetta Community Stunned After Shooting at Neighborhood Restaurant Results in the Death of 27-Year-Old Employee David Pascal
A late-night assault at a well-known eatery in La Horquetta has left the local population distressed, as officials have confirmed the death of 27-year-old David Pascal due to trauma sustained during the event.
Pascal, a resident of Kamaluddin Mohammed Phase 2, was employed at Terrel’s Stop and Eat located on De Freitas Boulevard when shots were fired around 11 p.m. on Saturday, December 6. He was swiftly taken to the Arima Health Facility and subsequently moved to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Officials report that officers on routine patrol received notification of a shooting at about 11:10 p.m. Upon their arrival a few minutes later, they encountered evidence of the incident both within and nearby the establishment, including multiple spent shell casings. The site was secured as detectives commenced their examination of the area.
Eyewitnesses indicated that they heard a series of loud sirens just before Pascal was found with severe wounds. According to law enforcement, he was rapidly taken for urgent medical assistance, but despite attempts to save him, he did not make it.
Crime Scene Investigators subsequently collected numerous 9mm casings as part of the continuing investigation. Detectives are actively attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those who may be implicated.
