James William Yost and Kenneth Michael Wade Clanton Obituary Announcement: Two Individuals from the Georgetown Community Pass Away

With hearts burdened by grief, we honor the memories of James William Yost, aged 76, and Kenneth Michael Wade Clanton, aged 33, two individuals from the Georgetown community whose lives were cut short in a tragic event on December 5, 2025.

That night, around 10:27 p.m., the Georgetown Fire Department was alerted to a home located at 300 Pipe Creek Lane due to reports of smoke, alarms activated, and an individual down in the yard. Upon arrival, responders found James William Yost lifeless outside the home near the entrance of an adjacent residence. Within the house, they discovered Kenneth Michael Wade Clanton, who was also a resident there.

What began as a fire crisis rapidly transitioned into a sorrowful criminal inquiry. As officials conducted their investigation, it became clear that both men had been murdered and that the fire was deliberately ignited, transforming a place that should have provided safety into one of unspeakable grief.

James Yost had been a staunch member of the Georgetown community for many years — a man whose life was rich with experiences, stories, and the quiet resilience that comes from years of living meaningfully. He was well-regarded for his presence in the area and the kindness he extended to those around him.

Kenneth Michael Wade Clanton, only 33, was at an age where his future was filled with opportunities, aspirations, and possibilities. His untimely death serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the vulnerability of life and how swiftly circumstances can shift.

The passing of these two individuals has deeply affected their families and the broader Georgetown community. Loved ones, friends, and neighbors are now faced with profound sorrow, unanswered questions, and the arduous process of mourning a tragedy that should never have occurred.

As investigators carry on with their efforts, the community clings to the memory of the two men — celebrating James and Kenneth not for their deaths, but for their lives and the significance they held for those who cared for them.
