HASTINGS – Authorities have officially recognized the woman discovered deceased at a residence on Kotuku Street in Camberley on 29 October as 37-year-old Teishallia TePaea.
Detectives overseeing Operation Knell announced today that they are investigating Teishallia's death as a homicide and are once again requesting the community’s assistance in reconstructing her last days.
SUPPORT THE FAMILY - GOD BLESS YOU
“Teishallia was cherished by her family as a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend,” stated Detective Senior Sergeant Sally Patrick. “Her family is deeply heartbroken and has a right to know what transpired. It is our responsibility to uncover the truth.”
Authorities responded to the residence in Camberley shortly after 8 a.m. on 29 October after there were concerns regarding Teishallia’s well-being. She was found dead inside the property, and a subsequent autopsy has indicated that the circumstances of her death are suspicious.
Investigators suspect that individuals within the community possess vital information.
“There are individuals who are aware of what occurred to Teishallia and who else was involved,” Patrick remarked. “We are urging you—please act responsibly. Step forward and assist us in providing her family with the justice necessary for their healing process.”
Those with details are encouraged to reach out to law enforcement at 105, referencing Operation Knell and case number 251029/3817, or to anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 0800 555 111.
A blessing was conducted at the Kotuku Street location last week, and a fundraising page set up by family members has already garnered thousands of dollars to help with funeral expenses and support for Teishallia's children.
The inquiry remains highly active, with a substantial team of detectives dedicated to the case around the clock.
Rest in peace, Teishallia TePaea. Your family is not alone in facing this journey.
