In the early hours of the morning—around 7:17 a.m.—the Morgan City Police Department arrived at the scene of a crash involving two vehicles, including a motorcycle and a Jeep, occurring near the junction of LA 70 and Victor II Boulevard. What started as a typical morning quickly transformed into an event that would alter the lives of many individuals forever.

As per investigators, a 2013 Jeep Wrangler heading south on LA 70 tried to turn left onto Victor II Boulevard while the traffic signal displayed a flashing yellow arrow. Simultaneously, Gregory, riding his 2001 Honda VTX motorcycle, was navigating north through the intersection. Their trajectories intersected abruptly, leading to a severe collision that left a deep mark on the community.
