A law enforcement inquiry has begun after an individual passed away due to a stabbing incident in Fordham Park, located in New Cross, southeast London, on Tuesday evening.

The Metropolitan Police stated that their personnel reacted to alerts regarding a stabbing close to Clifton Rise, near the Fordham Park section of New Cross Gate in the Lewisham borough of London. Emergency responders reached the site soon after the report, but unfortunately, the individual was declared dead on the scene.

Witness accounts indicate that the stabbing took place outside Rosies on Di Hill Yush, an area that tends to be bustling with activity during late-night hours. The police promptly cordoned off specific parts of Clifton Rise and sections of Fordham Park to secure the area and initiate their forensic investigations.

As of Wednesday, no arrests have been made. Detectives are actively pursuing leads and examining local CCTV recordings, while police officers continue to patrol the area visibly to reassure local residents.
