 The medical sectors of Derby and Wichita are grieving the death of Dr. David Niederee, a well-regarded family practitioner and a key figure at Family MedCenter in Derby. Dr. Niederee peacefully passed away at his residence on December 7, 2025.

In a message published by Family MedCenter, his coworkers expressed that his loss is deeply felt by both the establishment and the individuals he treated. "He was not only our leader and friend, but also an extremely skilled doctor, and his absence is significant. In his memory, we strive to uphold his vision and legacy of delivering health care to this community he worked so hard for," the statement indicated.

The facility also highlighted its commitment to keeping patients updated and supported through this transition, honoring Dr. Niederee’s enduring dedication to providing accessible and compassionate health care.

Dr. Niederee spent over two decades in the family medicine sector. As a graduate from Creighton University School of Medicine, he earned a reputation for his thorough, patient-focused approach and specialized in chronic health management issues like diabetes, hypertension, high blood pressure, and bronchitis, among others.
