Dominique Goodman Obituary Announcement; Father Shot After Answering Daughter’s Request for Assistance
A crushing disaster has left a family in Georgia heartbroken after Dominique Goodman, a loving dad, was shot dead outside the Bojangles restaurant on Roosevelt Highway Sunday afternoon.
Law enforcement reports that the incident occurred at approximately 1:15 p.m. on December 7. Goodman quickly went to the restaurant after his daughter called him, informing him that her shift manager was harassing her. Although the manager had been dismissed after the earlier conflict, officials noted he remained in the parking lot.
As per the family's account, Goodman went there intending to resolve the matter peacefully. Instead, the situation escalated fatally. Authorities report that the manager, named Maurice Evans, exited his vehicle during their argument and discharged several rounds at Goodman, resulting in his death before any assistance could reach him.
Evans has been taken into custody, but the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Grieving relatives remember Goodman as a father who responded when his daughter required support, only for his life to be abruptly snatched away due to an irrational act of violence.
