Joining WBRC in 2015, Chambers quickly became a familiar and trustworthy presence in the station’s sports department. Each Friday night, she was a regular fixture on Sideline and played a key role in covering major events, such as the Mercedes Marathon, in which she frequently took part.

Though she exited her full-time role in July 2021, Chambers continued to contribute to WBRC as a freelancer, most recently sharing her expertise during the high school football season in 2025.

Her colleagues remember her for her quick wit, her warmth, and her deep dedication to local sports, with a special focus on high school games and the UAB Blazers.

Before her time at WBRC, Chambers worked at WAKA in Montgomery and began her broadcasting career at WLTZ NBC38 in Columbus, Georgia. She also covered Auburn University sports for Comcast Sports Southeast and participated in the Super 7 high school championships with Raycom Media.

A native of Cullman, Alabama, Chambers was a scholarship athlete at UAB, competing at the Division I level in both cross country and track while earning a journalism degree. She is survived by her young son, who was an essential part of her life.
