As reported by Medic officials, the event took place at Brevard Street intersecting with East 25th Street, which is near the Blue Line station at 25th Street. At the location, one individual was declared deceased.
In reaction to this occurrence, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) has momentarily suspended light rail operations at the 25th Street station. A bus bridge has been established to provide transit options between CTC Station in the uptown area and 36th Street in NoDa.
Law enforcement has not disclosed additional information regarding the details surrounding the stabbing or any possible suspects involved. Officers are present at the location, and the inquiry is currently in progress.
