According to law enforcement, Kung Kedjumnong inflicted a lethal stab on both Khamkieo Chingvacha and Sachivanh Phomphanh before ending his own life.

 Springfield officials have provided further information regarding a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of three individuals inside a residence on State Street at the end of last month. Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni verified the identities of the deceased on Monday, shedding light on a case that has left families devastated and the community in disbelief. The alarming finding took place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, after law enforcement answered a call about a reported stabbing at the home.

Around 9:50 a.m. that same morning, officers from the Springfield Police Department arrived at a residence in the 1400 block of State Street in response to a report of a possible stabbing. Upon entering the home, they encountered a horrific and unsettling scene. Three adults, specifically two males and one female, were discovered deceased inside. The specifics surrounding their injuries immediately triggered a significant investigation and attracted the involvement of homicide detectives and prosecutors.

Officials have identified the two victims as 67-year-old Khamkieo Chingvacha from Springfield and 47-year-old Sachivanh Phomphanh hailing from West Hartford, Connecticut. Both are believed to have suffered fatal stab wounds during the incident. The third person, 43-year-old Kung Kedjumnong, also from West Hartford, has been named as the individual who committed the murders prior to taking his own life. Authorities indicated that evidence found at the scene strongly supports this finding, although a comprehensive investigation is still in progress.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit of the Springfield Police Department, under the leadership of Captain Trent Duda, are partnering with the Hampden District Attorney's Murder Unit to gain a complete understanding of the circumstances that led to this violent episode.
