SHREVEPORT, La. — The community of Shreveport is grieving the death of 25-year-old Xavier Dewayne Green, who tragically died in a severe accident early on Sunday morning, November 16, on West 70th Street.

As reported by KSLA and Northern News Now, the incident occurred around 4:20 a.m. while Green was driving along West 70th. The reasons for his vehicle suddenly veering off the road are still being investigated. The car rolled multiple times before colliding with a tree, resulting in a devastating scene.

Emergency responders arrived promptly, but the extent of the damage was severe. Green was thrown from the vehicle during the rollover and was declared dead at the scene at 4:35 a.m.

Authorities have not yet established the cause of the accident. Investigators are looking into whether factors such as excessive speed, a medical emergency, a roadway obstruction, or other elements contributed to Green losing control of the vehicle.

The news of his passing has brought deep sorrow to friends, family, and neighbors who knew him as a kind-hearted, vibrant young man with a lively spirit. Those who loved him report that the shock of losing someone so young and promising has been difficult to bear, with many taking Sunday to reminisce and support each other amid their sudden sorrow.
