Authorities have revealed the identity of the individual who was fatally shot following a stressful hostage incident that ended with police involvement on Monday evening in Union Township.
The occurrence began around 8:42 p.m. at a residence on Cider Mill Drive after officers were dispatched in response to a 911 call that had been abruptly disconnected. Upon their arrival, law enforcement faced a rapidly worsening situation that escalated into a hostage crisis within the home.
As reported by investigators, the altercation concluded when officers discharged their firearms multiple times, a scene that was recorded by a neighbor's doorbell camera, capturing at least six shots fired. One person was taken to Mercy Hospital Anderson, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries there.
The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the individual who died was 37-year-old Thomas Noble.
