RICHMOND, VA — The city of Richmond is grieving the unfortunate passing of 39-year-old Echenique Nicholas A. Ozimisa, who lost his life on the evening of Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in a tragic accident on Interstate 95 close to the 37-mile marker in Prince George County. As reported by the Virginia State Police, Ozimisa’s 2010 Mazda MZ3 strayed from the road while headed north, crossed the median, and struck a southbound tractor-trailer head-on.
The incident took place around 7:45 p.m., when Ozimisa's automobile departed the roadway, entered the median, and crossed into oncoming traffic, resulting in the fatal crash. Despite being securely restrained, Ozimisa was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the truck involved in the incident sustained no injuries.
