It is with great sadness that we announce the unforeseen death of Leilani Lexie Superstarr. Leilani was a student at Aiea High School and resided in Kapolei, Hawaii, most recently living in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Her untimely departure has left her family, friends, and those close to her in deep grief.
Leilani was celebrated for her cheerful demeanor, contagious laughter, and generous spirit. She illuminated the lives of those around her and possessed a vivacity that could light up any space. Those who had the privilege of knowing her recall her warmth, enthusiasm, and the affection she readily gave to her family and friends.
Her brother expressed his feelings with these words:
"My heart aches, it's painful... last night, my beloved sister, Leilani Lexie Superstarr, left us. I care for you immensely, sis. I find it hard to express anything — it is just painful. I shut my eyes and envision your radiant smile, hear your joyful laughter, and reminisce about our treasured moments together. My life became darker with the news, and the thought of plans I had to meet you fills me with sorrow."
A message from her friend Linda Schultz states:
"When we first crossed paths in 2002, you embraced me like I was your younger sister. You always had that vitality and were the essence of any gathering. Even though we may not have spent much time with each other in the last few years, we effortlessly picked up where we left off each time. You were always compassionate and supportive of me. I miss you, Lei. You will always be remembered. Soar with the angels."
The family and the community are struggling to cope with this significant loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Leilani’s family and friends as they navigate through this unbearable period.
