Jim Crosby Darwin City, NT Vehicle Collision: Cherished Community Member Jim Crosby Passes Away in a Vehicle Incident

Our hearts are shattered as we announce the devastating news of the loss of our dear Jim Crosby. Jim had traveled to Queensland with his wife, Kate, and son, Ethan, to participate in an 8-ball competition—one of his life's greatest passions and joys. Following the tournament, while on the lengthy return to the Northern Territory, the region where he was born, raised, and deeply connected, Jim's life was tragically ended due to a car accident.

Jim was a true Territorian. A graduate of Darwin High School, a student of Charles Darwin University, and a dedicated employee at Freddy’s Car Installations, he was recognized for his laid-back personality, kind heart, clever humor, and unwavering devotion to those he cared for. To his family, he was a pillar of strength, joy, and unconditional love. To his friends, he was affectionately called “Uncle JimBob”—a friend you could always rely on.

In light of this unimaginable tragedy, our family is now faced with the painful responsibility of completing Jim's journey back home. The expenses involved in repatriating Jim to the Territory and organizing his funeral have created a significant burden for his family. To help alleviate this financial strain, we have established a GoFundMe account in his memory.

This fundraising effort will assist Acacia, Kate, Anthony, and Ethan as they navigate life without Jim, aiding them in covering the costs of returning him home and providing him with a proper goodbye—surrounded by the loved ones and landscape he adored.

Each donation, regardless of its amount, will make a significant difference. Your kindness will be directed towards helping our family honor Jim’s legacy and start the process of healing from this profound sorrow.
