Halifax Authorities Look into the Deadly Shooting Involving 28-Year-Old Jayden Tynes

 Halifax officials are looking into a deadly shooting that resulted in the death of 28-year-old Jayden Tynes on Saturday, November 2.


As per the RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, officers alongside Emergency Health Services (EHS) responded to notifications of gunfire close to the intersection of Cain Street and Clarence Street at approximately 4:58 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Tynes with gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a local hospital but unfortunately passed away from his injuries shortly after.

The investigation is being spearheaded by the RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit, with assistance from the Integrated General Investigative Section, RCMP Forensic Identification Services, and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service. Investigators are diligently working to reconstruct the circumstances that led to Tynes’ demise.

Authorities are urging anyone who was present in the vicinity between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and might possess dashcam recordings to reach out.
