 GREENVILLE, N.C. — The community of Greenville is grieving the heartbreaking passing of Antonio McCarter, age 43, who died on the afternoon of November 16, 2025, after an incident while trying to cross Arlington Boulevard adjacent to Fire Tower Road. He was hit by a truck that was leaving the Bojangles parking lot. Despite emergency medical personnel rapidly transporting him to ECU Health Medical Center, he could not be saved.


Antonio was a treasured member of the community, recognized for his compassion, friendly demeanor, and the positive energy he brought to those around him.
