SUPPORT THE FAMILY, GOD BLESS YOU

Emergency services received a call shortly after 8 pm on Friday (14 November 2025) after reports indicated that a pedestrian had been struck near the entrance of a parking lot on George Street in Hornsby.

Authorities claim that a BMW operated by 19-year-old Aaron Papazoglu collided with the back of a Kia Carnival, propelling the Kia forward and into the woman as she walked alongside her husband and their three-year-old child.

Paramedics from NSW Ambulance provided assistance to the woman, who was eight months into her pregnancy, before transporting her to Westmead Hospital in a critical state. Despite their attempts to save her, both the mother and the unborn baby passed away shortly thereafter.

Neither the driver of the BMW nor the 48-year-old driver of the Kia sustained any injuries. Both drivers were taken for obligatory testing. There were no passengers in either car.
