LOGANVILLE, Ga. — According to Loganville Police Chief Dick Lowry, the woman who suffered critical injuries from the shooting outside CVS Pharmacy on Atlanta Highway on Friday afternoon has passed away.
The individual has been named as 62-year-old Kimberly Whaley, a resident of Loganville. Authorities reported that Whaley was shot in the head in the CVS parking area located at 4377 Atlanta Highway around 1:55 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025. First responders provided assistance at the site before she was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, where she remained in critical condition. She died from her injuries on the afternoon of Sunday.
Law enforcement confirmed that one person of interest was apprehended by Lawrenceville Police shortly after the incident. This person was tracked down using license plate camera systems after a BOLO was issued by Loganville Police and was arrested without any issues. As of Monday, no formal charges have been made, and authorities have not disclosed a potential motive.
Investigators from Loganville Police are actively looking into the events leading up to the shooting, and detectives are trying to uncover what caused the violent confrontation.
