The Family Tragedy of Karen Drew | The Legacy of Her Husband Paul Gorcyca Drew

 Troy and Royal Oak, Michigan, are grieving the loss of a cherished person, Paul Gorcyca Drew, who passed away on September 15, 2025. Known affectionately as "Goose," Paul was renowned for his vivacious personality, contagious smile, and gentle disposition, making a deep impression on everyone who had the honor of meeting him. He became a beloved friend, loyal family member, and involved member of the community because of his generous attitude, unwavering kindness, and sense of humor.


Paul was born on December 25, 1963, and his life was a manifestation of passion and love. His love of athletics and living life to the fullest was emphasized by his early experiences at St. Regis and Brother Rice High School, where he excelled in both baseball and basketball, as well as his time at Michigan State University. Throughout his life, his unwavering loyalty to MSU fueled his love and affection for the Spartans, a spirit he proudly shared with his daughters Madison and Morgan.


Paul's career was characterized by notable achievements in the automobile industry. His leadership positions at businesses like Venture Industries, Plastech, and the Piston Group demonstrated his abilities, ethics, and drive. His family always came first in his heart, notwithstanding his career achievements. He flourished in the position of "girl dad," sharing his passions, ideals, and affection with his daughters, Madison and Morgan, who were the light of his life.

Paul was a passionate sports fan, and his enthusiasm for "Go Green, Go White" was contagious. Among his favorite pastimes were playing golf with friends, tailgating at MSU events, and going to his children' sporting events. He was also known for his generosity and friendliness, regularly throwing family get-togethers, Polish sausage parties, and joyfully commemorating beloved holiday traditions.



Paul's legacy goes beyond his own accomplishments; it is deeply ingrained in the many people he touched with his humility and charity. His impromptu Irish dances and sense of humor made many people happy. His family and friends take comfort in remembering his extraordinary life, even while the specifics of his demise are kept confidential.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Regis Catholic Church on September 24, 2025, after a memorial ceremony at A.J. Desmond & Sons in Royal Oak on September 23. Paul will always be regarded as a man who lived life to the fullest, gave freely, and loved without conditions.
