 A man was found lifeless with a gunshot injury to his head near a commercial property in the West Side of the city early Thursday morning, according to the San Antonio police.


Law enforcement officers were called to the site after receiving reports of gunfire just before 3:00 a.m. on the 1200 block of Historic Old Highway 90 near Acme Road. When they arrived, they discovered 36-year-old Ricky Contreras Hernandez lying on the pavement in front of the shop.


Authorities stated that a car believed to be owned by the victim was found in the vicinity, showing multiple bullet impacts on its windshield. Officials are considering that the shooting might have occurred in the vicinity of the vehicle, although the exact circumstances are still being examined.

At this stage, no arrests have been made, and the police noted that they currently lack any details on possible suspects. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the business and surrounding areas to try to identify those involved.
