Hiran Thas, a former Jarvis soccer player, died in a fatal motorcycle accident in Scarborough, Ontario, in Markham.
Hiran, a beloved member of the 2007 Rep Team, passed away suddenly Tuesday morning after a devastating motorbike collision in Scarborough. The community of Jarvis Soccer Club is grieving.
According to Toronto Police, the collision occurred at around 8:22 a.m. near Markham Road and Cougar Court, just north of Kingston Road, and involved a motorbike and an SUV. Despite the greatest efforts of emergency personnel, the cyclist, Hiran Thas, 28, was pronounced dead at the site. The driver of the SUV remained on the site and helped the investigators. Police have confirmed that the inquiry is still ongoing, and local roads have been closed.
The news saddened the Jarvis SC family, who remembered Hiran as a talented athlete and a cherished brother, son, and teammate.
The club made the following earnest declaration:
We mourn the passing of Hiran (2007 Rep Team Player), the son of Thas and Tharshi and the beloved brother of Hari and Nila. This loss has crushed the whole Jarvis family, including Thas's relatives.
