Jordan Jerome Jeffery was navigating through lanes on his Kawasaki when he struck a van, was ejected from his motorcycle, and unfortunately landed directly in the trajectory of a semi-truck, which hit him fatally.

The incident took place around 2:30 p.m. on the southbound expressway in proximity to Franklin Park. Due to heavy traffic, vehicles were moving slowly, and drivers reported conditions of congestion. Jeffery attempted to maneuver his way through the narrow gaps between cars, a choice that would result in severe consequences.

A white Mercedes Sprinter alongside a Freightliner truck-tractor was slowly progressing in the jammed lanes. Witnesses stated that Jeffery tried to fit his motorcycle between the two vehicles but lost control and crashed into the rear of the Sprinter. The impact propelled him into the air, landing him directly in front of the truck.
