Tyler Weidner and Easton PA: The Firefighter Community Bemoans a Colleague's Accident Death

The Easton Fire Department is in mourning after Firefighter Tyler Weidner lost his life in an accident on Wednesday, September 3. He was thirty-three years old.

Born October 8, 1991, Tyler carried on his father's firefighting career at the Easton Fire Department. By committing their life to public service, the father and son demonstrated the courage and selflessness that define the firefighting profession.

Following five years of proud service, Tyler's colleagues viewed him as a committed, reliable, and compassionate department member at the City of Easton.

Tyler was a devoted father in addition to his work as a firefighter. Family members claim that his fiancée and their 3-month-old child were the center of his universe, but they are left behind.

The Easton Fire Department released a statement saying, "As they grieve the loss of one of their brothers, please keep the department in your prayers."

Coworkers praised Tyler for his kindness and unwavering commitment to the team, in addition to his bravery on the job.

Plans for the funeral and memorial service have not yet been released to the public.
