The passing of Travis Minh Tapscott, who was only 24 years old, has caused great sadness in the community. Born in 2000 and raised in Westminster, California, Travis was a remarkable young man whose short life left a deep impression on everyone he came into contact with.
Travis was renowned for his dedication, moral rectitude, and kind nature. Being the only child of Vietnamese singer Dinh Diem Lien, Travis carried a variety of cultural background with him. His grandmother was Vietnamese, and his father had served in the US TQLC. His diverse background shaped his viewpoint and inspired him to lead a life of humility, gratitude, and respect for others.
In his academic and professional pursuits, Travis was committed to excellence. To build a bright future, he pursued his study with ambition and diligence. Friends and colleagues remember him as someone who went above and beyond to help others around him, whether it was through encouragement, acts of kindness, or simply sharing his cheerful and upbeat attitude.
In addition to his accomplishments, Travis loved music, family, and community. He loved socializing, living life to the fullest, and taking advantage of any opportunity to cheer people up. His infectious smile and positive outlook made him a beacon of hope for many.
Unfortunately, Travis lost his life in a fatal accident in Southern California on September 13, 2025. His premature passing has left his family, friends, and community deeply grieved.
A memorial service will be organized to honor and celebrate Travis's life, giving family members an opportunity to gather, think back on, and find comfort in their shared memories. I hope that Travis Minh Tapscott is at peace in the land of Buddha and that his example of kindness and love inspires everyone who had the wonderful pleasure to know him.
