Timothy Kitterman, San Antonio, Texas Cause of Death and Obituary: Following a medical event, Timothy Kitterman, a beloved friend, mentor, and teacher, passed away on campus at MacArthur High School in San Antonio, Texas. We regret to notify you of his untimely and terrible demise. He was 65 years old.

The staff and kids were left in startled silence as emergency workers hurried to his side and did everything they could to help. Sadly, despite their best efforts, Mr. Kitterman passed away, leaving a legacy that will endure forever.

Mr. Kitterman had more than one role. He was a pillar of the school community, known for his deep empathy, unwavering dedication, and remarkable ability to inspire. As an American Sign Language (ASL) teacher, he cleared the door for empathy, inclusivity, and communication for a lot of kids. In addition to teaching language, he also taught comprehension and connection.

During his time there, Timothy developed ASL initiatives that transformed the district, gave voice to the voiceless, and helped kids develop new worldviews. His efforts were duly acknowledged, and in 2019 he was named Teacher of the Year, a distinction that demonstrated not just his aptitude in the classroom but also the love and respect he was showered with by peers and pupils.

For his students, Mr. Kitterman served as a mentor and a shelter. To his colleagues, a leader and friend. To his family and loved ones, he was also a source of pride, bravery, and unwavering kindness.
