 Family and friends mourn the passing of Albany, Minnesota resident Taylor Holthaus, who fought valiantly against a brain tumor before passing away. Even though Taylor's life was cut too soon, everyone he came into contact with was profoundly impacted. His story is one of perseverance, love, and camaraderie.

Taylor grew raised in Avon, Minnesota, and was very connected to the area and his origins. In addition to being a beloved friend and neighbor, he was a stalwart in Minnesota's amateur baseball scene.

Taylor was well known for his skill, commitment to his teammates, and sportsmanship. He played for the Avon Lakers and then the St. Martin Martins for a long time. He was a joy to be around because of his humility and sense of humor, and his presence on the field motivated others.

Taylor's love of baseball created bonds that lasted a lifetime. The support of the community throughout his illness, including the Fred Roufs Golf Tournament that benefited his family, was evidence of how much he was loved.

Several organizations, including the Victory League, expressed their condolences, emphasizing how Taylor's legacy will live on in Minnesota baseball. Outside of sports, Taylor looked for a career that showcased his leadership and organizing skills.

After graduating from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University in 2013 with a degree in management, he launched a successful career. Prior to becoming an operations coordinator at Kirsch Transportation Services, Inc., he started his career with C.H. Robinson.

His colleagues admired him for his reliable, intelligent, and sturdy demeanor. But the role that Taylor cherished most was that of a husband and parent. He married Jordan in 2019, beginning a new phase in their relationship.

After they were born together, Mack and Cam, their two children, were the focal point of his world. Friends described Taylor as a loving, involved father who demonstrated his affection for his children in all that he did. Whether he was coaching, playing, or simply spending time with them, Taylor's joy at being a father was clear.

His fight against illness was marked by incredible courage. Taylor's dedication to his family during the most difficult times was an example of grace, strength, and resiliency. His struggle with his illness served as a reminder to everyone around him of the power of positivity and community, inspiring everyone who followed his journey.
