Tanner and his cousins jumped in right away. He helped, but he also offered reassurance. He took the time to explain things, make jokes with my kids, and turn a potentially stressful scenario into one that was full of love and confidence as he gently and encouragingly guided them through the process.
To put it briefly, Tanner was selfless in his actions, volunteering his time and always keeping an eye out for others. He had a remarkable ability to inspire others without ever making them feel less than himself. Instead of making lofty claims, Tanner led by example in 4-H, school, and daily life by performing small but significant deeds that had a lasting impact.
