Obituary Cause of Death and Barrie Canada for Ross Milne Barrie | US Obituary

Milne, Ross Canada, Barrie, Barrie Death Cause and Obituary: We regret to inform you of the unexpected and devastating death of Ross Milne, a beloved alpine skier, Kirstin's loving spouse, and the proud father of Reece and Rostin. Ross's sudden death left a family and community forever altered by his vivacious personality, intense love, and enduring spirit.

Ross had the kind of vitality that could light up a room. He was the type of person that people drew toward because of his contagious laugh, unique voice, and the sparkle in his eye that always suggested a good story or a joke that was shared. You remembered him, whether you encountered him at a community event, on the ski slope, or in a café, not just because of his personality but also because of the way he made people feel heard, seen, and appreciated.

The joy of movement, the purity of the mountain air, and the relationships created through common struggles were the main reasons Ross, a lifetime alpine skier, loved the sport. Over the years, he served as a mentor to innumerable young athletes, providing them with guidance, support, and the occasional lighthearted remark to keep them alert. The tales of teammates, pupils, and other racers who knew him as a friend as well as a competitor will carry on his legacy on the slopes.

However, Ross valued the duties of parent and husband above all others in his life. Every look, every intimate joke, and every silent act of cooperation showed how much he loved Kirstin. He was incredibly proud of his kids, Reece and Rostin, and would always show up with unshakable support, cheer from the sidelines, and offer advice. He was his family's world, and they were his.

In addition to his athletic contributions, Ross made a lasting impression on Ontario through his commitment in the community and the numerous connections he developed. No matter how hectic life became, he was the one who would always find time for a conversation, remember anniversaries, check in on people who were having trouble, and arrive early to help set up an event and remain late to clean up.

On Friday, September 5th at 3:00 p.m., Basic Funerals in Barrie will host a funeral service to commemorate and honor Ross's life. Friends, relatives, and everyone who knew Ross are cordially welcome to come, reminisce, and honor a guy whose life was full with laughter, love, and purpose.

Ross Milne's spirit endures despite his unfillable loss; it may be heard in the tracks he made in the fresh snow, in the joy he left behind in the hearts of his loved ones, and in the strength he gave to everyone who was fortunate enough to call him a friend, coach, or family member.
