Family members have been devastated by the news of Kevin Soto's death. Friends have shared memories, condolences, and words of grief on social media. An emotional recollection of their recent attempt to meet up while both of them were in Puerto Rico was relayed by a friend. Even though the timing did not work out at the time, the two had reunited while planning the high school reunion.

While we were both in Puerto Rico, we made an effort to get together, but we were never in the same place at the same time. I am delighted we had time to plan our high school reunion and catch up that night. When you said, "You never changed, Vanessa," in the loveliest way, it meant a lot to me. We will truly miss you, Kevin Soto.

Kevin's passing serves as a tragic reminder of life's frailty and the dangers of speeding. It is his friends' and family's responsibility to remember him, to cherish their memories of him, and to honor the positive impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.
